DECC Secured 3million in Green Deal Marketing war chest

The Green Deal will skip the governments marketing freeze with a 3 million pound fund available to market the scheme.
The DECC has been given an exemption to the goverments freeze as the first deals are set to become available later this month.
Earlier this year DECC deputy director of the Green Deal explained that it was up to companies to market green deal products.
DECC also announced the plans to improve a nation wide Open Homes network which will enable people to find and see retrofitted properties.
Energy and Climate Change minister said that the DECC were progressing well with the Green Deal. "we now have funds for a cummunications campaign that will build further understanding of the Green Deal, helping to create a real buzz.

The news arrives as the Green Deal finance company has announced its stakeholder loan offering to its members, targeted at building the first round of money.
The Green Deal Finance Company is hoing to deliver 300 million pounds of funding for the new Green Deal before a second round of financing is attracted from a wider group of investors this year.
